EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Toyota Prius v- Video

Today on our 2017 Toyota Prius V, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the EcoHitch Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver. So here's what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. Now you can see it's gonna have a really nice, clean appearance to it, because the cross tube is gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper, and all we're gonna see is the receiver tube opening. Now, our EcoHitch is gonna give us a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna have the most variety of options when it comes to accessories. The way we're gonna mount any of those accessories to the hitch pin hole here on the side. Now the hitch is gonna accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. more

The cross tube is gonna be hidden completely behind the bumper, so you're only gonna see the receiver tube sticking out the back here. It's a class three, two inch by two inch receiver, so it's gonna be great for all of your towing needs, from bike racks, to cargo carriers, to trailers. Hey neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're installing a Curt Class III hitch on a 2021 Toyota Highlander. One of the things that you're going to notice with this hitch is the fact that the cross tube is hidden behind the rear fascia. It gives it a nice factory look, but you still get the utility of having the trailer hitch. So, some of the features of this are a two by two inch receiver tube opening, which is going to allow you to use a lot of different accessories, whether it be your bike rack, cargo carrier, or even putting a ball hitch here to pull a small trailer. You're also gonna see there's a five eighths hitch pin hole, which is standard. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Toyota Highlander- Video

Hello neighbors, Brad here. And today we're taking a look at the CURT class 3 trailer hitch on a 2021 Toyota Highlander. So this hitch is an exposed cross tube, which means you can see the hitch underneath the vehicle, but it is a nice black powder coat finish on a steel frame so it gives it a nice look. You also see that this is a two inch by two inch receiver, which is great for a bunch of different accessories, whether it be your bike racks, cargo carrier, or even a ball hitch to tow a small trailer. You'll also notice this is a plate style safety chain loop, large openings which allows for larger hooks and you still have plenty of space. Also, you're gonna see the standard 5/8" hitch pin hole to put your accessories and lock them in place if necessary. more

As you can see the cross tube is pretty much hidden behind the bumper itself, all we can really see is our receiver tube, so it really maintains a nice clean look. Adding a class three hitch like this onto the back of your truck, it's gonna give you a lot of different options, whether that's towing, or you wanna put a cargo carrier on there to bring a few extra items with you, or maybe you want to get a bike rack because you're like our customer here, and they have a tonneau cover. And that's exactly what we're doing here today on our 2021 Toyota RAV4. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver. So one of the main questions that we get asked all the time is if the hitch is going to interfere with the hands-free lift gate assist, and the answer is no. Unfortunately the model that we have here today does not have that feature, so I can't actually show you, but from my experience in the past, I've put hitches on RAV4s that do have that feature. more

But, from my experience in the past, all you're going to have to do is kick your foot to one side or the other of the hitch, and might take a couple tries, but you'll find that sweet spot, and it'll work just like it should.So these RAV4's are really versatile SUV's. more
